Last March, a science fiction series that had been in the making for years was released on Netflix. The Three-Body Problem<\/strong>, directed by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss \u2014the showrunners of Game of Thrones<\/a>\u2014, was launched as one of the platform’s biggest bets, and the audience responded with a moderate response; it has neither been the platform’s biggest success nor a failure.<\/p>\n\n\n

This caused uncertainty about whether the series would continue in the future or be canceled, as some predicted.
