Google<\/strong> has released <\/a><\/strong>a series of updates and new features for Android<\/strong>, highlighting the ability to edit messages<\/strong> in the Google Messages<\/strong><\/a> app, an increasingly common feature in messaging and social media apps (except for Twitter). Now, users can modify their messages up to 15 minutes after sending them<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

This long-awaited feature is activated by holding down the sent message and selecting the pencil icon that appears at the top of the screen. The update, which started rolling out this week<\/strong>, will be available for all devices with Android 8 or higher<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to this new feature in the Messages <\/a><\/strong>app, Google has improved the instant hotspot<\/strong>. Soon, users will be able to connect an Android tablet or Chromebook to their phone’s hotspot with a single tap and without the need for a password<\/strong>. This update will also allow switching between connected devices during Google Meet<\/strong> calls by simply tapping the Cast icon. These improvements will be available starting from June 10th<\/strong> for devices with Android 11 or higher<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

In addition, the Google Home Favorites widget<\/strong>, which allows you to control smart home devices, is available in public preview and can be added to the Android phone’s home screen. Finally, Emoji Kitchen<\/strong> will receive new sticker combinations on June 10th<\/strong>, expanding the available options through Gboard.<\/p>\n\n\n
