One of the most anticipated series on Max<\/strong>, the new platform that emerged from the restructuring of HBO Max by Warner Bros. Discovery, is Welcome to Derry<\/strong>. As we told you some time ago<\/a><\/strong>, this series will explore the origins of the town where Pennywise appears in It, and how the clown was already wreaking havoc before the main children arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n

Now, as just confirmed by Discussing Film<\/a><\/strong>, the series has secured its protagonist (or antagonist?). Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd will once again portray Pennywise<\/strong>, the evil clown, after playing the role in both parts of Andr\u00e9s Muschietti’s It. In fact, the director himself will also return as the showrunner of the series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although we don’t have too many details about Welcome to Derry<\/a><\/strong>, it is expected that the series will be released at some point in 2025<\/strong>, so the filming may be closer than we thought.
