CD PROJEKT RED<\/strong> has announced the release of an immersive audio package<\/strong> created in collaboration with Embody<\/strong> for Cyberpunk 2077<\/strong>. According to the developer on their official blog<\/a>, this new audio software, called “Immerse”<\/strong>, promises to significantly enhance the sounds of Night City, offering an unprecedented gaming experience.<\/p>\n\n\n

The program introduces in Cyberpunk 2077 a technology called “Head Related Transfer Function” (HRTF)<\/strong>, and also incorporates head tracking technology<\/strong>. A combination that ensures the audio faithfully adapts to the user’s virtual environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Embody, a company specializing in spatial audio, customizes the sound of the game for each player. By using their technology to model sound in a specific space, the HRTF equation allows a simulation of how sound waves interact with the player’s head and auditory channels<\/strong>. This adjustment, along with head tracking, allows the Immerse package to more accurately map how sound is generated and played in the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
