Capcom, a few years ago, remembered that it had a long history in the video game industry. And they realized, in addition, that they could exploit it. This has led to reissues of classics, reboots, remasterings, and remakes of all kinds<\/strong>. Although they’re not working on everything we would like, it’s true that from time to time they surprise us with something different –and not always with a new Resident Evil. Even when they bring back the zombies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, Capcom surprised us with the announcement of the return of Dead Rising. Not with a new installment of the game, but with a remaster of the original game. With clearly updated graphics, they didn’t clarify anything else, which left us with more questions than answers.<\/strong> Until now, that is, because at last night’s Capcom Next event, they answered all our questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will be, in terms of gameplay, exactly the same game. That’s why it’s a remaster and not a remake. But what they have done is to add a series of improvements that’ll make it much more digestible for both fans of the saga and new players. This means things like the ability to shoot while moving, an autosave system, improved controls, much-needed improvements to NPC AI, and a completely revamped UI<\/strong>. Quality-of-life improvements that should give it a fresh touch while respecting what made the original game so compelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
