In 2006, at just fifteen years old, Carlo Acutis, from an Italian family, died of leukemia. Now, 18 years later, he will become the first 2.0 saint of the Catholic Church, the first millennial to ever achieve this. It must be said that the church canonizes at a rather slow pace: apart from Acutis, only 22 deceased people in the 21st century have this status: Pope John Paul II and the so-called “21 martyrs of Libya”.<\/p>\n\n\n
