We all know how the video game industry works: suddenly, someone finds a water spring and everyone starts digging in the same place without realizing that the water is not infinite. In this case, as if the complex metaphor was not clear enough, the spring is online games understood as a service, with their different seasons, in the style of Fortnite. The latest trend, like all trends, has already gone to hell.<\/p>\n\n\n

An extinct dinosaur game<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Such is the case of Exoprimal, a third-person shooter by Capcom in which players had to fight against hordes of dinosaurs to defeat an AI. On July 14, 2023, the game was released on all imaginable consoles (except Nintendo Switch). Two and a half months later, it hadn’t sold a million copies<\/strong>… and just one year later, it was announced that the game was shutting down completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There have been four seasons, but the production company has already announced that the last one has been, literally, the end. There will be no more support for Exoprimal. In fact, on July 11th, Season 1 <\/strong>will return and from then on they will be repeated in a continuous cycle every month until there is no one left, and Capcom, now yes, presses the server shutdown button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
