Since the acquisition, however, that trust has further eroded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the market research company, advertisers&#8217; confidence in Twitter <span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px\">was 22% in 2022.\u00a0<strong>Now known as X, confidence in the same platform is\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><strong>12% in 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>According to the Kantar report, only 4% of advertisers believe advertising on X provides brand safety.<\/strong> When compared to its competitors in the social media space, X ranks at the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">More marketers to pull back on X (Twitter) ad spend <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/D0T38o0biM\">https:\/\/t.co\/D0T38o0biM<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/b6fGcJUMXl\">pic.twitter.com\/b6fGcJUMXl<\/a><\/p>&mdash; James Taylor (@ebay4sales) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ebay4sales\/status\/1831567579191898311?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 5, 2024<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>According to Kantar, Google ranks first in brand safety, with 39%<\/strong>. In terms of trust and innovative advertising, X &#8220;scores outside the global top ten.&#8221; TikTok is considered the most innovative, and YouTube has topped the trust barometer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The chart included in Kantar&#8217;s report, which provides images of those statistics, makes the contrast between X and other social media platforms in this space even more evident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is unlikely that X will change course under Musk&#8217;s leadership. This week, Elon Musk was criticized for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/elon-musk-deletes-post-promoting-tucker-carlson-darryl-cooper-1948470\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">promoting<\/a> a video of Tucker Carlson on X with a guest who sympathized with Hitler. &#8220;Very interesting.
