They think that everything from the poster itself is a preview that they didn&#8217;t ask for. However,<strong>\u00a0when Nintendo finally decided to show its first trailer, it was called Tears of the Kingdom,<\/strong>\u00a0and there were quite a few disappointed ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But there was a reason behind this somewhat strange name: it was used to cover up a huge spoiler. As Eiji Aonuma says, <em>&#8220;Dropping the hint that the Light Dragon is Zelda would have been a problem, and it had an effect on the title. <strong>One of the candidates that made it to the end was Tears of the Dragon<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom \u2013 Official Trailer #1\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2SNF4M_v7wc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px\">Of course, people would have connected the dots:\u00a0<em>&#8220;It would have been a bad idea to have the word &#8216;Dragon&#8217; in the title, and\u00a0<strong>we wanted to have draconian patterns in the logo, but we decided to do it differently<\/strong>. We would emphasize the Light Dragon, after all<\/em>.&#8221; The problem was that nothing good came out. The release date was approaching,<\/span> and someone on the team said, &#8220;What about &#8216;Kingdom&#8217;?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;With Tears of the Kingdom, we felt that the phrase could join the Dragon of Light for us, and we could use dragons in the logo.
