The social network, owned by <strong>Microsoft<\/strong>, already allows users from various regions, including the British, to <strong>opt out of the use of their data to train AI systems<\/strong>. In statements to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cy89x4y1pmgo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">BBC<\/a><\/strong>, a LinkedIn spokesperson emphasized that &#8220;users should have control over their data,&#8221; reaffirming the company&#8217;s commitment to providing transparency in the use of personal information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LinkedIn&#8217;s generative artificial intelligence is designed to<strong> assist users with tasks such as writing resumes or messages directed at recruiters<\/strong>, but in exchange for being trained with their personal data. &#8220;After all, people want an edge in their careers, and what our generative AI services do is help them achieve it,&#8221; expressed the platform&#8217;s spokesperson.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/2\/2024\/09\/linkedin-thumb.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-340713\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The case of LinkedIn is not isolated. Other tech companies, such as <strong>Meta<\/strong> and <strong>Twitter<\/strong>, have had to deal with similar circumstances in Europe due to <strong>the strict EU privacy regulations<\/strong>, which limit how and when personal user data can be collected.
