This is something that will always lead to legal intervention. This has led Pok\u00e9mon Unite to decide to shut down its servers, at least for now, in two countries of the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pok\u00e9mon Unite will no longer be available in Belgium and the Netherlands starting in 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/unite.pokemon.com\/en-gb\/news\/notice-of-termination\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">according to an announcement by TiMi Studio Group and The Pokemon Company<\/a>. <strong>Starting October 31, players in those two countries will not be able to purchase Aeos Gems<\/strong>, which are the in-game currency used to buy items and other products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Pokemon Unite - Official &#039;New Challengers to Aeos Island&#039; Trailer\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/meaQsio2FhI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Although they have not given reasons for this move, considering that the game will continue to be available in the rest of Europe, <strong>it seems that the reason is the restrictive gambling laws in both Belgium and the Netherlands<\/strong>. This has led both companies to decide to shut down the servers in these two countries to avoid future problems. They have not clarified the reasons, precisely to avoid associating their product with organized gambling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is this something that could happen in other countries? Probably yes. <strong>Other countries are trying to push forward different legislative proposals to toughen penalties against gambling, particularly in video games<\/strong>, even taking them to the level of the European Union parliament. The combat arena is divided into two parts, and each team must conquer the opponent's territory. To do this, they must defeat wild Pok\u00e9mon and reach control points scattered across the map.
