The steps to activate this feature are as simple as these:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We open the <em>Settings<\/em> app on our iPhone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We enter the <em>Photos<\/em> section (within <em>Apps<\/em> if we are running iOS 18 or later).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If it&#8217;s not, we activate <em>iCloud Photos<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We select the option <em>Optimize iPhone Storage<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this setup, <strong>our high-resolution photos are stored in iCloud<\/strong>, while an optimized version is kept on the iPhone. When we need the image in its highest quality, we just have to open it for it to download from the cloud without us even noticing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">iCloud Photos relies on our iCloud space.
