It seems so, and the reasons are not clear<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Google stated that it became aware that Roy had collected photos of its trade secrets in December 2023 <\/strong>and addressed the matter, which resulted in Roy agreeing to delete all the photos and provide proof of their destruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Somehow, despite all this, he continued working until March 2024. <\/strong>He resigned to attend a doctoral program at the University of Texas at Austin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After leaving Google, Roy allegedly began posting confidential information on Twitter, where <strong>he supposedly shared already deleted photographs of internal documents and Pixel processing chips<\/strong>. Apparently, he continued to post what Google called &#8220;non-public internal files&#8221; on his LinkedIn account. <strong>And apparently, he threatened the search giant with disclosing more information.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Google sued ex-engineer Harshit Roy, accusing him of stealing trade secrets related to chip designs.
