Microsoft<\/strong> is testing a series of improvements in its Phone Link<\/strong> app for iPhone users that facilitate file sharing between devices. Participants in the Windows Insider<\/strong> program can now experience this new feature<\/a> by installing version 1.24112.89.0<\/strong> or higher of the application.<\/p>\n\n\n

The new system allows sharing files through the iOS share tab, selecting the \u201cLink to Windows\u201d<\/strong> option to transfer them to a Windows computer. Conversely, users can send files from their PC to the iPhone<\/strong> by right-clicking on the file, choosing share, and selecting the \u201cMy Phone\u201d option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Microsoft has made significant advances with Phone Link for iOS and Android, the version for iPhone still has quite a few limitations due to Apple’s restrictions. In 2023, the app incorporated the ability to send and receive messages through iMessage<\/strong>, but this function only works with individual contacts, not with groups. Additionally, to send messages, it is necessary to keep the application open<\/strong>, as Microsoft uses a solution based on Bluetooth and system notifications.<\/p>\n\n\n
