While this number might not seem much at first glance, if we look at it in a weekly perspective it\u2019s the equivalent of one whole day spent on our smartphone or 6 whole days per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On average, <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.rescuetime.com\/screen-time-stats-2018\/\"><strong>most people check their phones 58 times a day<\/strong><\/a>, and from those check-ins, 30 are during working hours (9 am to 5 pm). It is estimated that we lose at least 37.5 minutes of working time per day simply by picking up our smartphones to check on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If we look at this matter closely, recent data shows how picking up the phone has become a daily habit, with <strong>70% of these pick-ups resulting in sessions of 2 minutes or less<\/strong>. Countries like <strong>Indonesia <\/strong>lead the least with the most daily time on smartphones with <strong>6.05 hours<\/strong>. In fact, a recent report by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harmonyhit.com\/phone-screen-time-statistics\/?clreqid=a5b99b78-5919-4ddd-a2d7-5cb3c4e66e6d&amp;kbid=58587\">Harmony Healthcare IT<\/a> shows how <strong>36% of Amercians believe they have a screen time addiction<\/strong> and that they wouldn\u2019t be able to go 24 hours without checking their phones.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If we delve deep in this study, we find out that US children get their first phone at the age 12 and that there\u2019s a clear correlation with people\u2019s age and time spent on their smartphone.
