More than four years after its controversial release, the recent reviews of Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam have reached the coveted “overwhelmingly positive” rating<\/strong>. According to Steam user review data, 95% of the 12,818 reviews written in the last 30 days are positive, reflecting a remarkable transformation since its problematic launch in 2020. Although the game’s overall score remains “very positive,” the studio CD Projekt Red has achieved a notable recovery of its reputation.<\/p>\n\n

CyberPunk returns from the dead<\/h2>\n\n\n

The initial launch of Cyberpunk 2077 was plagued with serious issues that forced CD Projekt Red to almost completely restructure. However, the studio proved to be resilient, dedicating years to fixing the game’s errors and enhancing its strengths.<\/strong> As a result of this effort, the 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty DLC, released in September 2023, restructured the gameplay and added a new and captivating story with voice acting by Idris Elba. Both received praise from critics and players alike, highlighted by a perfect 10\/10 rating from GameSpot.<\/p>\n\n\n

With the positive reception from players, it is not surprising that the game’s ratings on Steam continue to improve. As for the future of the franchise, the main development team has moved their operations to Boston to work on a “more authentically American” sequel<\/strong>. Additionally, a live-action project and a new anime series are in development, although details are scarce at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n
