Although the hardware of the Nintendo PlayStation has been analyzed in recent years, its software library remains little known. <strong>Shuhei Yoshida, former head of PlayStation, has revealed that a space shooter in FMV was being developed for this platform, a project that never saw the light of day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Yoshida unveiling all the secrets after leaving Sony<\/h2>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.softonic.com\/articulos\/adios-a-una-leyenda-de-playstation-shuhei-yoshida-se-retira\">Yoshida, who joined Sony after the breakup of the alliance with Nintendo<\/a>, was part of Ken Kutaragi&#8217;s team during a critical stage, when the discovery of a prototype of the Nintendo PlayStation was still recent.<strong> In an interview with the MinnMax podcast, the executive mentioned that a game on this platform was almost completed, similar to the Sega CD version of Silpheed<\/strong>, with graphics that surpassed the standards of the time thanks to its pre-rendered video backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Revealing PlayStation\u2019s First Game - Created For Nintendo\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vrMSMvaRaM8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, Yoshida does not remember who was leading the game&#8217;s development or its origin, whether from the U.S. or Japan. However, <strong>the impact of this canceled project was later felt on PlayStation, where titles like Philosoma and Novastorm were released<\/strong>, which explored similar concepts in their space adventures.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>So far, <strong>the only well-known game in development for the add-on was Secret of Mana, which underwent numerous changes when transitioning from CD to cartridge<\/strong>.
