It seems like a long time since the launch of Alan Wake 2, but it was in October 2023, and it has reached the impressive figure of over two million units sold<\/strong>, as revealed by Remedy Entertainment in a recent financial report. This success, although notable, being the fastest-selling title for the company, has been countered by expensive development and marketing costs, which totaled approximately 70 million euros. This presents a significant challenge for the title to start generating real profits, something that finally happened at the end of 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n

Control, the sequel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Despite this, Remedy has maintained its position in the market through smart business strategies. In February 2023, it acquired the rights to Control from its previous publisher, 505 Games, for a total of 17 million.<\/strong> Subsequently, in August, the company announced that it would self-publish Control 2, with Annapurna Pictures financing 50% of the development budget and obtaining the rights for film and television adaptations of both Control and Alan Wake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
