HP has announced the acquisition of the startup Humane, known for the development of the controversial Ai Pin device.<\/a><\/p>\n\n

Through this purchase, HP will acquire 300 patents and patent applications<\/strong>, as well as the intellectual property and a group of employees from Humane.<\/p>\n\n\n

The transaction, valued at 116 million dollars<\/strong>, is expected to be completed by the end of this month. Although Humane promised to revolutionize the field of wearable devices with its Ai Pin, the project has left a bitter taste among consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n

Humane announced that it has been acquired by HP and is immediately discontinuing sales of its $499 AI Pins.

The startup told customers who had already purchased an AI Pin that their devices will stop functioning at 12 PM PST on February 28, 2025.
