This decision is part of a strategy to better align teams and resources, in pursuit of sustained long-term growth, according to statements from an EA representative.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A tragedy for the environment and shooter lovers<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Respawn has confirmed the cancellation of at least two projects in development, one of which was an extraction game set in the Titanfall universe, internally known as R7. <strong>Despite the staff reduction and these cuts, Respawn has assured that its commitment to creating player-focused experiences remains strong<\/strong>. Although this update will not be released until after the next Battlefield game, it is speculated that EA could provide more details soon. The next financial report is scheduled for May 6, which could provide more clarity on the future of the franchise.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Respawn also confirmed that the employees affected by the layoffs will receive significant support, <strong>including opportunities to consider new positions within EA<\/strong>.
