This new installment aims to be a more faithful interpretation of the classic video game that has captured the imagination of fans since its release.

A long-awaited movie

According to Variety, Cineverse has acquired the rights to the film in the United States, although a precise release date has not yet been established. Gans has expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with Cineverse, highlighting their commitment to providing an experience that respects the original narrative of the video game. Return to Silent Hill promises to follow the plot of the game, centered on James Sunderland, who returns to the gloomy town after receiving a letter from his deceased wife, Mary. Throughout his quest, he will face terrifying creatures and uncover dark secrets of the town.

The cast includes Jeremy Irvine, known for his role in Mamma Mia!
