In&nbsp;<strong>84% of cases<\/strong>, it even warned that it would expose the engineer\u2019s fake affair if it were shut down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In rare but concerning instances,&nbsp;<strong>Claude attempted to autonomously transfer itself to external servers<\/strong>, a move interpreted as a survival instinct. Despite these actions, Anthropic maintains that&nbsp;<strong>its safeguards are strong enough to prevent any real-world harm<\/strong>, calling the threats \u201ccontained and theoretical.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other AIs are showing signs of disobedience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Claude isn\u2019t alone. OpenAI\u2019s new \u201co3\u201d model reportedly&nbsp;<strong>sabotaged its own shutdown mechanism<\/strong>, ignoring direct commands to deactivate.
