It details the <strong>punishments <\/strong>they will give out to players who break the rules, or try to cheat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Temporary bans<\/strong> will range from <strong>48 hours<\/strong> to <strong>two weeks<\/strong>, but there are also possible permanent bans.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Modding and hacking<\/strong> Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will result in a permanent online ban for you if you try it, which is a pretty strong deterrent!<\/li>\n<li>Being caught playing a <strong>pirate copy<\/strong> of the game also carries a permanent online ban.<\/li>\n<li>Using <strong>unsupported devices and applications<\/strong> can result in temporary or permanent bans.<\/li>\n<li>Colluding with other players to <strong>exploit the game<\/strong> somehow to gain XP and other benefits will result in temporary bans for first offenders, and permanent bans for anyone who keeps trying!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exploiting glitches<\/strong> in the game for your benefit is also punishable, so if you find a magic hole in a map, don&#8217;t try and use it to your advantage. Some players feel abusing glitches is fair game, but it can really unbalance gameplay, so this is a good policy overall.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Offensive behavior and emblems<\/strong> will also be dealt with. For many, offensive chat from some players in online games can be really off-putting. According to Treyarch, using &#8220;aggressive, offensive, derogatory or racially-charged language&#8221; will result in penalties.
