In the beginning, he thought that the segment he was commissioned for The Tracey Ullman Show would be fleeting and little remembered. However, the success of Bart Simpson was unexpected, leading to the production of a series that now has nearly 800 episodes over 36 years.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It is reflected in the character of Milhouse<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his talk, Groening shared details about the creation of the characters, revealing that many of their names are tributes to his own family, such as Homer and Margaret, his parents, and Lisa and Maggie, his sisters.<strong> The creator even made a humorous comment about his own role in the series, stating: \u201cI am Milhouse,\u201d in a joke about his identification with the character.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Simpsons Movie | #TBT Trailer | 20th Century FOX\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XPG0MqIcby8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the series continues its journey, with four more seasons secured on Fox, Groening has found new motivation in surprising himself and the audience. &#8220;We don&#8217;t think about being responsible.
