The promotional pricing for Windows 8 Pro is just $39.99 now but will jump up to an <strong>astronomical $199 on January 31st<\/strong>. The Windows Media Center pack, which brings back Media Center to Windows 8, is <a title=\"free windows 8 media center pack\" href=\"http:\/\/windows.microsoft.com\/en-US\/windows-8\/feature-packs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">currently free<\/a> until the 31st as well.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the rest of the Windows 8 pricing after the promotion expires:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Windows 8 Pro upgrade: $199.99<\/li>\n<li>Windows 8 upgrade: $119.99<\/li>\n<li>Windows 8 Pro Pack (to upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 8 Pro): $99.99<\/li>\n<li>Windows 8 Media Center Pack: $9.99<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Remember, the $39.99 upgrade is for a digital download only. If you want a physical DVD, you&#8217;ll have to pay $69.99 at any local or online retailer.
