According to him, \u201cthe number of films being made today, literally worldwide: millions. Most of them are garbage.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The director of Alien and Gladiator is not up for so much nonsense<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Scott emphasized that many of these productions rely too heavily on digital effects, undermining the fundamental aspect of any film: a good script. <strong>\u201cWhat they lack is something good on paper. He stated that the audience has become accustomed to accepting a lower standard in cinema, thus contributing to &#8220;a sinking into mediocrity.&#8221; <strong>However, despite his criticism of the current landscape, Scott expressed his unwavering enthusiasm for cinema<\/strong>. \u201cI\u2019m not going to retire. I\u2019m already trying to write Gladiator 3,\u201d he declared, showing his ongoing commitment to the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>A personal strategy to cope with the current saturation of mediocrity is to rewatch one&#8217;s own films, which, according to him, surprises him at times. <strong>This reflection not only reveals Scott&#8217;s passion for his work but also his desire to raise the standard of cinema in an era where quantity seems to prevail over quality<\/strong>.
