However, <strong>this success has sparked a flood of proposals for its expansion, including the temptation to create a live-action version, an idea that its director, Maggie Kang, has firmly rejected<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">They don&#8217;t think they would function as real people<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During a recent interview with the BBC, Kang argued that the transition to live action could compromise the tone and comedy that characterize animation. <strong>&#8220;It&#8217;s really hard to imagine these characters in a live-action world. It would feel too real. For me, it wouldn&#8217;t work at all,&#8221; he emphasized<\/strong>. Kang and Appelhans advocate for the preservation of animation, highlighting that many anime remakes into live action have been unsatisfactory and, at times, forced.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the success of the film, discussions are likely to continue,<strong> although the filmmakers remain steadfast in their defense of what they consider the true essence of the project<\/strong>.
