However, in a strategic move, the studio has already begun working on Mortal Kombat 3, confirming that Jeremy Slater, known for his work on the series Moon Knight and The Umbrella Academy, has been hired to write the script.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Absolute faith in the success of this movie<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cast of Mortal Kombat 2 will feature the return of several actors from the first film. Ludi Lin will reprise his role as Liu Kang, while Jessica McNamee will return to portray Sonya Blade. <strong>In addition, new members are joining the cast, with Martyn Ford playing Shao Kahn and Karl Urban, known for iconic characters in pop culture, representing Johnny Cage<\/strong>.
