The introduction of the FEV coincides with a scene in which Norm, after escaping from Vault 31, manages to access a terminal at the old Vault-Tec headquarters and discovers crucial information about their experiments, although he is interrupted before obtaining more details.

A Terrible Experiment

Created by the defense contractor West Tek before the Great War, the FEV is a modifying agent that alters the genotypes and phenotypes of organisms. Its purpose was, in theory, to create “perfect” humans and has been the driving force behind the Enclave’s and the Master’s experiments, the final enemy of the first Fallout game. With its mention, it is speculated that the series could include the appearance of Super Mutants in future episodes, which will generate great anticipation among fans.

The chapter also references Shelter 87, a center known for its experiments with the FEV. This shelter was used to develop Super Mutant soldiers and mentions the debate that took place among the characters in the series, where the use of a shelter to conduct such experiments was raised, something characteristic of West Tek’s machinations. The presence of the FEV in the series suggests that the development of the plot will take dark turns, with possible dangers emerging from the wasteland.

As viewers eagerly await the conclusion of the season, it is clear that the FEV is a central theme that promises to add more action and complexity to the Fallout story. The narratives of the series continue to explore deep themes that have resonated throughout video games, and undoubtedly, the upcoming episodes will bring more surprises with the possibility of the feared Super Mutants arriving.

        Amazon Prime Video
        DOWNLOAD

        <text class="rating-score__number" content="" text-anchor="middle" transform="matrix(1 0 0 1 25 31.0837)" data-auto="app-user-score"></text>

The universe of Fallout has been expanded with the mention of the Forced Evolutionary Virus (FEV) in a recent episode of the second season of the series.
