They claim that Crichton made it clear that he had to approve any derivative product of his series, but there is just one problem: <strong>The Pitt is not a derivative product of ER<\/strong>. Not at all, in fact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Pitt | Official Trailer | Max\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ufR_08V38sQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;<strong>The Pitt does not contain protected elements from ER<\/strong>: besides sharing a genre (hospital drama) and some specific topics of the genre that are impossible to protect, such as the use of medical jargon, the two series are not similar at all&#8221;<\/em>. It&#8217;s true: for example, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/the-leading-medical-series-of-recent-years-returns-with-a-second-season\">The Pitt takes place in real-time exclusively<\/a> within the hospital, while ER was a more classic series in that sense. Sure, but&#8230; what about Noah Wyle?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/softonic.com\/articulos\/es-the-pitt-realmente-una-version-plagiada-de-urgencias-su-protagonista-se-pronuncia\" title=\"\">Well, the character from ER and the one from The Pitt are different, no matter how much fans have theorized to connect them<\/a>. <strong>We would never see Dr. Carter about to crash with the motorcycle<\/strong> as it is suggested that Dr. Robinavitch plans to do between seasons of the HBO series.
