On May 27, CD Projekt Red announced a new expansion for The Witcher 3 called Songs of the Past, causing tremendous excitement among fans of this classic action RPG. So much so that, on May 29, just two days later, the game experienced its highest peak of players in many months, reaching the staggering figure of 29,166 simultaneous players<\/strong>. Spectacular numbers for any single-player game, but even more so for one that is not a new release.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Witcher never goes out of style<\/h2>\n\n\n

According to Alox<\/a>, a fan of CD Projekt, this is the highest peak of active players in The Witcher 3 since February 2022. And there was a good reason for that. The game was part of the Steam Lunar Sale and had a discount that brought it down to just $7.99, causing many people to buy it for the first time, at least on PC.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n
