SEGA says Persona has now cleared 30 million copies sold in total. Persona 5 Royal on its own is up to 8.66 million since 2019, and that number doesn’t include the original Persona 5.

Persona 3 Reload is sitting at 2.97 million. Metaphor: ReFantazio has reached 2.46 million. Shin Megami Tensei V, with Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance included, stands at 2.44 million since 2021, according to SEGA. Put side by side, those numbers make one thing pretty clear: SEGA and Atlus aren’t leaning on just one monster hit.

Persona is still the obvious lead series. Reports say Persona 6 was the most-searched game from the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. Persona 4 Revival came in second, and its wishlist numbers are reportedly in the same range as Persona 3 Reload.

Like a Dragon hasn’t slowed down either. Yakuza: Like a Dragon is at 3.12 million, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has hit 2.05 million after passing 1 million in its first week, and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is at 1.01 million, according to SEGA. At this stage, it doesn’t really feel like a cult series anymore. It’s crossed over.

All of these figures come from SEGA’s update. The multi-platform approach looks like it’s working, and Katsura Hashino has said PC sales were higher than expected, while Metaphor: ReFantazio’s showing has already kicked off talk about a sequel.

What you don’t get, though, is any split by platform or region, or a look at physical versus digital sales, or how Game Pass factors in.

SEGA has put out an updated lifetime sales breakdown for its RPG lineup, and it gives us new totals for Atlus series including Persona, Like a Dragon, Shin Megami Tensei, and Metaphor: ReFantazio.
