It\u2019s the clearest look so far at the sequel\u2019s setting, its overall tone, and the gameplay systems at the center of it.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trailer confirms that West City will serve as the <strong>main hub<\/strong> in AGE 1000, a newer stretch of the Dragon Ball timeline. Players will join the Great Saiya Squad, spot smaller slice-of-life touches like West City University, and meet a batch of new Akira Toriyama-designed characters: Brett, Lilica, ROM, and Tap.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also makes it pretty clear that Bandai Namco is leaning harder into story, fresh characters, and more detailed customization. On the combat side, the trailer shows <strong>Soul Assist<\/strong>, which lets you chain combos with allies, along with Soul Switch, a mechanic that temporarily gives players access to abilities from Piccolo, Vegeta, and Future Trunks.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019ve been hoping Dragon Ball Xenoverse would finally move beyond the usual arcs, Xenoverse 3 might be the one worth waiting for.
