Prime Video<\/a> pulled the plug on its live-action version of Robert Jordan\u2019s The Wheel of Time<\/em> in May 2025<\/strong> after three seasons<\/a>. So no, you\u2019re not getting a fourth and final season in 2027.<\/p>\n

The reason seems mostly straightforward: money. Reports said viewership dropped after launch, the costs never really came down, and Prime Video\u2019s The Wheel of Time<\/em> had only covered a relatively small stretch<\/strong> of Jordan\u2019s 14-book saga, later completed by Brandon Sanderson, even though the series has sold 90 million copies.<\/p>\n\n

Showrunner Rafe Judkins said he was heartbroken and confused. And if you were hoping the fan campaign might move the needle, a petition with 135,000 signatures<\/strong> and even a Times Square billboard still weren\u2019t enough to convince Prime Video, or another streamer, to bring The Wheel of Time<\/em> back.<\/p>\n\n

If you still want more Wheel of Time<\/em>, there is more coming, just in other forms. Iwot Studios is still moving forward with animation, movies, and games, including animated projects announced in March 2026<\/strong> with Arcane<\/em> producer Thomas Vu, aimed at younger audiences and better suited to the scale of the world.<\/p>\n\n

You can still watch all three seasons<\/strong> of The Wheel of Time<\/em> on Prime Video, while The White Tower<\/em>, an Age of Legends<\/em> movie, and the 2027 board game War of the Dragon: The Wheel of Time<\/em> are all still in the pipeline after a successful Kickstarter<\/a>.<\/p>\n
