Kevin Feige has now said plainly what Marvel casting rumors have hinted at<\/a> for years<\/a>: the studio has tried more than once to bring Adam Driver<\/strong> into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Feige confirmed that on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.<\/p>\n\n\n

On the podcast, Feige said, \u201cIt\u2019s no secret that we\u2019d like to [work with Adam],\u201d and added that Marvel has a \u201ctradition\u201d of Zooming<\/a> with Driver<\/strong> before he passes on a role. He also said Driver is \u201cusually up front\u201d about how he feels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The biggest rumor tied him to Reed Richards<\/a><\/strong> in Fantastic Four. Earlier reports said Driver met with Marvel, was a frontrunner, and later passed because he \u201ccouldn\u2019t connect with the character on the page.\u201d Feige\u2019s comments now make it clear that talks did happen in some form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
