That’s what X’s engineering account says, detailing how as we scroll, load posts, or check notifications, everything should respond more smoothly.

We’ve completely rebuilt the Android X app from the ground up.

It’s faster, smoother, and more reliable than the old version in every way. Of course, we’ll keep our account, conversations, and settings just as they were, since the new architecture works with the data already stored in the app on first launch.

For years, the iOS app has had a more polished experience, and this rebuild aims to bring Android closer to that level. The new base will also make it easier to bring in Spaces, the video editor, video reactions, cashtags, and custom timelines. X will also be able to roll out new tools and features much faster.

A long-awaited refresh that, together with access via passkeys and other new features, greatly changes how we use the platform.

X’s Android app has just received a huge update.
