Going so far as to share a three-minute clip by a user of a scene from the Homeric poem created with Grok that, at best, wouldn\u2019t make the cut in any contemporary production.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A controversy turns ugly<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scott Derrickson, director of Doctor Strange and The Black Phone, has responded to all this controversy. Not holding back, he said on his X account, the social network formerly known as <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.en.softonic.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>, that \u201c<strong>it\u2019s clear that @elonmusk doesn\u2019t know a fucking thing about movies and stopped reading at 20, his opinions on art aren\u2019t worth shit\u201d<\/strong>. Leaving no room for doubt in his message.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s not as if Musk has been especially kind in what he\u2019s said about The Odyssey either. Claiming that \u201cChris Nolan is an anti-white racist\u201d <strong>for giving the role of Helen of Troy to Lupita Nyong\u2019o, saying that the film\u2019s casting is \u201can insult to Homer,\u201d Derrickson\u2019s reaction doesn\u2019t seem disproportionate at this point<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, The Odyssey seems not to have been affected in the slightest by this controversy. <strong>Opening with $264 million worldwide, it\u2019s the film with the biggest opening weekend of Christopher Nolan\u2019s career. It also had the third-biggest opening of the year<\/strong>.
