Marvel and Lucasfilm used San Diego Comic-Con 2026<\/strong> to announce that Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett is coming back September 2026, this time as a new seven-issue Marvel comic. Lucasfilm unveiled it during its San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Publishing panel, and if the title made you do a double take, no, this wasn’t an official sign-off on The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 for Disney+<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The comic will adapt the first season of The Book of Boba Fett, with Rodney Barnes writing and Will Sliney handling the art. Lucasfilm also spent part of the panel showing off other upcoming Star Wars books and comics, so this fits a pattern they’ve leaned on for a while now: taking streaming stories and extending them in print through adaptations, tie-ins, and lore-heavy companion books.<\/p>\n\n

That part’s important for anyone still hoping Temuera Morrison will get another live-action run<\/a><\/strong> as Boba, because Lucasfilm still hasn’t confirmed a second season. The Disney+ show got a mixed response, which might actually work in the comic’s favor. Scenes can land differently on the page, the pacing can be tightened up, and small details that slipped by on screen have more room to stand out.<\/p>\n\n

If you keep up with Star Wars publishing, or you just want more Boba Fett in whatever form you can get him, this looks like one to pick up. Marvel starts the series<\/strong> in September 2026.<\/p>\n
