Prime Video says the show pulled in 45 million viewers<\/strong> over its first 28 days, hit No. 1 in more than 95 countries, and drew 63% of its audience from outside the U.S., with especially strong numbers in the U.K., India, and Germany.<\/p>\n\n

The first season runs eight episodes and drops viewers into a younger take on Sherlock: a 19-year-old Oxford student<\/strong> who gets dragged from a campus murder into a global conspiracy. There\u2019s also a Moriarty wrinkle, with D\u00f3nal Finn\u2019s character playing a friend and fellow student.<\/p>\n\n

The trailer racked up 223 million views in seven days, according to Prime Video, and Rotten Tomatoes<\/a> currently has the series at 84% from critics and 86% from audiences. Reviews have singled out Ritchie\u2019s pace<\/strong>, the production values, and the chemistry between the leads. If you\u2019re into polished Sherlock reboots<\/a>, this one\u2019s probably worth a look.<\/p>\n\n

Season 2 entered production in late July 2026<\/strong>, Prime Video said. Guy Ritchie is back to direct episode 1, while Olivia Williams, Indira Varma, Sophie Skelton, and Aidan Gillen are joining the cast. Zine Tseng, Joseph Fiennes, and Numan Acar won\u2019t be back.<\/p>\n\n
