When the Ronan Bennett-created, Guy Ritchie-produced drama premiered on March 30, 2025, it pulled 2.2 million viewers<\/strong> for its first episode and became Paramount+\u2019s biggest global series launch, at least by the service\u2019s own numbers. MobLand also took its place alongside Tulsa King<\/a> as one of the main draws in Paramount+\u2019s crime lineup built around big-name stars.<\/p>\n\n

MobLand centers on diplomatic fixer Harry Da Souza, who gets pulled between the rival Harrigan and Stevenson families. Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren give the Harrigans much of the show\u2019s heavy, intimidating presence, while Tom Hardy plays it the other way, quieter, tighter, always looking<\/strong> like he\u2019s about to snap.<\/p>\n\n

If you know the Tulsa King comparison, this show goes in a different direction. MobLand is darker, more British<\/strong>, and more interested in family dynasties, class tension, and the careful diplomacy that holds the underworld together until it doesn\u2019t. Later reports also said Tom Hardy\u2019s earlier friction with showrunner Jez Butterworth had been resolved, and with Season 3 already greenlit, this return looks like one to keep an eye on if gritty gangster drama is your thing.<\/p>\n\n
