This sounds less like a standard case-of-the-week police show and more like a character-first investigative drama. Nimisha Sajayan stars as Babita, a suspended police officer<\/strong> from a small town who gets pulled into the murder of a childhood friend. As the investigation moves forward, the case brings up hard truths about the crime and about Babita\u2019s own life, with guilt, memory, buried secrets, and the emotional damage left behind all tied up in it.<\/p>\n\n

Barun Sobti and Anshumaan Pushkar also star. Prime Video lists Ambiecka Pandit as director, Amita Vyas as writer, and Sudip Sharma as executive producer.<\/p>\n\n

The company is rolling it out worldwide on the same day<\/strong>, which should give a pretty clear read on how much demand there is for Indian stories in languages other than English. And the more grounded, performance-driven approach could give it an edge over louder, more stylized crime thrillers.<\/p>\n\n
