Instead of Samsung’s usual separate camera rings, the phone seems to use a wide horizontal camera bar. That’s all anyone can see right now, since Samsung still hasn’t announced the Galaxy S27 Ultra officially.

For the past few generations, Samsung has stuck with its floating-lens look. These renders suggest it may be moving to a full-width top housing instead. People online are already comparing it to the iPhone, and if the leak holds up, this would be Samsung’s biggest flagship camera design shift in years. Early reports also say the standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ might keep the more familiar vertical layout, with the bar reserved for the higher-end models.

That wider camera module may do more than change the look. It could make space for larger sensors, give the internal parts more breathing room, help with heat, cut down on table wobble, and maybe even open the door to Qi2 magnetic charging, something closer to Apple’s MagSafe.

Other leaks mention a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP 5x telephoto. Samsung may also drop one of the telephoto cameras found on the previous Ultra. On top of that, early chatter points to a $100 to $200 price bump, plus a new Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro model slotting in between the Plus and the Ultra.

If you keep tabs on Samsung, this is one leak to keep an eye on.

Leaked CAD renders of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra are making the rounds online, and they point to a pretty big change on the back.
