It hardly matters that The Flintstones, at this point, is already an exhausted franchise (its last movie, a crossover with the WWE, appealed to no one). And Ryan Gosling, after bringing Ghost Rider back to life, has decided to do the same with the Stone Age family. What&#8217;s more, he says he has a terrific idea to connect with younger generations: to sideline Fred and Barney and <strong>focus on a character nobody has ever paid much attention to: Bamm-Bamm.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where&#8217;s Pebbles?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re Gen Z, let me refresh your memory: Bamm-Bamm was the son of Barney and Betty Rubble, Fred and Wilma Flintstone&#8217;s neighbors, who first appeared in 1963 after they found him on their doorstep. Taken in as the couple&#8217;s adopted son, we know that he grew up, <strong>married Pebbles, became a mechanic and ended up moving to Hollyrock<\/strong> while trying to become a screenwriter.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now Gosling <strong>is convinced he can make a live-action Bamm-Bamm movie<\/strong> (no cartoons) that will attract audiences. In fact, apparently, he&#8217;s the one who wants to play the character as an adult. That said, the project is only just beginning and they don&#8217;t even have a screenwriter yet, but everything suggests that, since nobody can tell him <em>\u201cThis is a bad idea\u201d<\/em>, it&#8217;ll keep moving forward.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s worth remembering that in 1994 it was already proven that The Flintstones could be turned into a live-action movie (with John Goodman and Rick Moranis), which even got a terrible prequel that&#8217;s best forgotten. <strong>Will we get the original actors back, now as grandparents?<\/strong> Yabba-dabba-at this point I don&#8217;t even care!<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yabba-Dabba-Oof!
