Disney+<\/a> just dropped the first trailer for Ahsoka season 2, the next chapter of the Star Wars series, ahead of its January 20, 2027<\/strong> release. The footage points to a much bigger mystery around Baylan Skoll, digs further into Mortis mythology, and hints at a conflict that could spill well past Grand Admiral Thrawn<\/a>\u2019s war with the New Republic.<\/p>\n

The big takeaway from the trailer is the theory that Ahsoka season 2 may be bringing Abeloth<\/strong> into official Star Wars canon. In Legends, she\u2019s one of the most terrifying dark side figures around, tied to overwhelming power and a presence that seems to bend reality itself, though Lucasfilm still hasn\u2019t confirmed any of that.<\/p>\n\n

Baylan Skoll still feels like the biggest loose thread left hanging after Ahsoka season 1 ended with him on Peridea beside the statues of the Mortis Gods<\/strong>. Dave Filoni has already said season 2 goes deeper into that story, so it\u2019s easy to see why so many fans think Baylan\u2019s ancient call could end with Abeloth being revealed, or set loose.<\/p>\n\n

Grand Admiral Thrawn also still looks like a major antagonist, with the trailer teasing a very large battle<\/strong>, a split timeline, a redesigned look, and the return of the Great Mothers.
