Bandai Namco has set a release date for Gundam: Rogue Orbit. The standalone third-person action RPG is coming out worldwide on March 5, 2027<\/strong> for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam<\/a>, and pre-orders are already open.<\/p>\n

The pitch is simple enough: fast mech combat, customizable Mobile Suits<\/strong>, and a brand-new unit called the Gundam Helix. Bandai Namco is framing Rogue Orbit as something you can jump into cold, so you don’t need to know the Universal Century timeline before you start.<\/p>\n\n

It also sits inside the RG Project reboot, which moves Gundam into a new After Apocalypse timeline. Here, the main threat is an alien force called the Apocalypse<\/strong>, taking the place of the series’ usual human war drama. That rollout includes the 2027 anime prequel Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO from Kenji Kamiyama, and Bandai Namco has already been putting Rogue Orbit in front of people at Summer Game Fest, San Diego Comic-Con, and State of Play as part of a broader global push.<\/p>\n\n
