It’s also official now that this is a Ni no Kuni game, not the separate fantasy adventure for Xbox and PC you were first shown.

Those new trailers really push that connection, with higgledies and creatures that look a lot like familiars. Bloomwalker is being developed by Netmarble Neo, the studio behind Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, with Level-5 involved as a partner, though it’s still unclear how tightly Bloomwalker connects to the series canon.

You play as a Bloomwalker in the polluted world of Luminoa after a meteor strike. Exploration, crafting, a mobile house, and magical companions all feed into the job of healing the world through what the developers are calling emotional crafting, so Bloomwalker comes across as gentler and more restorative than the usual survival game. Co-op is planned as well.

If cozy crafting adventures are your thing, this is a useful update to catch because you now know Bloomwalker is coming to multiple platforms and sits firmly inside the Ni no Kuni universe.

Right now, Bloomwalker is expected on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC. A Nintendo Switch version, along with the rumored Switch 2, also seems likely, though there’s still no release date or even a release window.

Recent trailers have confirmed Bloomwalker for PlayStation 5, which means PlayStation players are now part of the picture.
