David Pogue has put the new assistant up against 125 requests and the result, according to what he posted on Substack<\/a>, stands out. His list includes personal queries, actions across apps, general knowledge questions, and much more.<\/p>\n\n

We can ask it \u201cwhat are they expecting from me?\u201d and Siri pulls together our commitments to other people from Mail<\/a>, Messages<\/a>, and Reminders so we can see at a glance what’s still pending. We can ask it to work out the total of several bills we have on the Mac, fix a transcription error by voice, split the bill at a restaurant, or open FaceTime directly for our 1:00 p.m. call.<\/p>\n\n

The best part is that we don’t have to give it too much context, the assistant understands us. A simple \u201copen the call I have now\u201d or \u201chow much did I spend on last week’s trip\u201d is enough. We’re looking at an assistant that understands what we’re seeing and doing at all times<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
