Konami is putting out a demo for Castlevania: Belmont\u2019s Curse<\/a> on October 1, 2026<\/strong>, two weeks before the full game arrives on October 15. It covers the opening stretch, so players can get into the start of this new Castlevania<\/a> before launch.<\/p>\n

The demo gives you a taste of the early combat, movement, and exploration, and Konami says save data will transfer<\/a><\/strong> into the full release. It’ll be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam<\/a>. Konami has also confirmed that the Switch version runs at 30 fps and needs at least 3 GB of storage.<\/p>\n\n

If you’ve been waiting for the first brand-new mainline console Castlevania in more than a decade, this is the one to download.<\/p>\n\n

Konami is tying Castlevania: Belmont\u2019s Curse to the series’ 40th anniversary<\/strong>. Evil Empire is leading development, with Motion Twin in an advisory role. And yes, there are Dead Cells<\/a> veterans involved, but this isn’t a roguelike. It’s a classic 2D action-exploration Metroidvania, starring Rose Belmont in 1499 Paris, more than 20 years after Castlevania III.<\/p>\n\n

Early impressions have been strong so far, especially around the fluid combat, quick response on movement, the 2.5D look, and the whip-based traversal<\/strong>. Konami also says more Castlevania projects are on the way.<\/p>\n\n
