DC Comics has quietly changed the outlook for Poison Ivy in Batman: Bad Seeds. New DC solicitations for the August-to-October 2026<\/strong> crossover show that Pamela Isley makes it through the 26-issue event, but comes out of it without the plant powers that have defined Poison Ivy for more than 60 years. Batman: Bad Seeds still unfolds over a single night, with Mayor Pamela Isley\u2019s eco-terror campaign turning Gotham into a prehistoric jungle, but the earlier death tease now reads more like a fake-out. DC\u2019s solicitations spell it out: Poison Ivy #49 leaves Pamela Isley \u201cstripped of all her power,\u201d and Poison Ivy #50 promises readers Pamela in an \u201cutterly ordinary mortal body.\u201d<\/p>\n

That makes Arkham Towers look like Pamela Isley\u2019s next stop. Here, she\u2019s a patient cut loose by her allies, treated as human, and, by all appearances, nudged by Batman toward redemption rather than the Green-soaked, mythic path built through G. Willow Wilson\u2019s acclaimed run. Detective Comics #1113 also drains a lot of the original suspense. DC\u2019s solicitation says Commissioner Vandal Savage\u2019s herbicide plan<\/strong> is stopped by Officer Hall, which pretty much gives away that Poison Ivy doesn\u2019t die there.<\/p>\n\n

If you keep a close eye on DC Comics, this is the kind of update you\u2019ll want to catch, because it could push Poison Ivy away from the plant-powered villain and eco-avatar role and back toward her scientist roots<\/strong>, even if there\u2019s every chance the change won\u2019t stick.
