Naruto is finally putting a date on its next anime reveal. The franchise has confirmed that new information will be announced during the “NARUTO: What’s Next?” panel at New York Comic Con on October 10, 2026, with a simultaneous global livestream scheduled for October 11 in Japan.

The phrasing around the event is pretty clear. The official Japanese Naruto/Boruto X account described it as the “World Premiere of Completely New Anime Information,” which sounds a lot more specific than a routine franchise update. The panel announcement also says Junko Takeuchi, Noriaki Sugiyama, and Studio Pierrot executive producer Yoshihiko Tominaga are expected to appear, along with updates on the 2027 NARUTO Card Game.

There are still some major blanks, though. There’s no release window yet, no staff list, and no confirmation on whether this is a TV special, a full series, or something else entirely. Even so, the safest bet right now is still the long-delayed set of four 20th anniversary episodes centered on the original Team 7 before Naruto: Shippuden.

If you’ve been waiting for actual Naruto anime news, this is probably the update to keep an eye on. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex talk, movie rumors, and remake speculation are still just that, speculation.

You can catch the panel at NYCC on October 10, 2026, or watch the global livestream on October 11 in Japan.
